| DESCRIPTION: | Departure Bay is located just next to the Departure Bay ferry terminal. You will want to go more towards the middle of the bay to ride some of the large ferry waves, they come in large periods at about knee high. Departure Bay at low tide has a few solid tide pools and is a great place to ride in Nanaimo. Park on Departure Bay Rd at the parking area right on the road. |
