Tribune Bay is also called 'Little Hawaii' due to its perfect white sand and crystal clear blue water. Most skimboarders consider Tribune Bay the best skimboarding spot in British Columbia. The only setback to this location is you have to take a ferry from Royston to Denman Island... Drive across Denman Island to catch the ferry to Hornby Island. The cost of the two ferries is combined to one and includes the return trip (you pay once and you get to go to Hornby and back on the same ticket), the cost is $29/car and $12.10/person during the peak seaon. The peak season is June 27th to September 9th. |
